I've just installed it on my pc and it is good for tweet without using mobile or web browser.Although there are some feature is missing like adding people using the apps , but overall is nice for me. I'm using tweeter to follow news around the world.Specifically in TECH as you can see above. I didn't tweetering frequently as i'm too lazy enough to write everything. That's depend on person itself.

Other than Seesmic on the desktop , there are other software that provide software for tweet on ur desktop. Maybe you can try Tweetdeck or others.
